In an hour or so, Olof’s mom is coming over to stay with the kids while Olof and I drive to town to go to a movie. I think this will be only the second time that the two of us have seen a movie by ourselves. We’ll be seeing Scary Movie 3<\/i>, which I am frankly not much interested in even though I was the one who suggested it. I read in the paper this morning that it was opening tonight in Skellefte\u00e5 and I know that he’s been waiting to see it (he has embarrassingly awful taste in movies, but I love him anyway), so I told him he should ask his mom to babysit so we could go. It will be nice to get out on our own, even if a terrible movie is part of the bargain.<\/p>\n
Tage and I took an industrial-strength nap this afternoon, and now we’re both well-rested and cheery. He fell asleep about 1:30, then woke up about 2:30. I gave him a bottle and lay down with him around 2:45 and we slept until just after 5:00! I love to sleep, but I surprised even myself with that nap. Lydia has been at Olof’s mom’s all afternoon, which meant that the sleep was uninterrupted, too (not a common thing in my world). I could get used to that kind of nap.<\/p>\n
Last night I finished up my fiction piece for the next issue of Mosaic Minds<\/a> and sent it on to Carrie, our editor-in-chief. I like this one better than the last one, so I’m interested to see what she has to say about it. Man, writing fiction is so hard<\/i>. It took me a couple of weeks to write three pages.<\/p>\n Hmm, what else? Oh yeah, I got the Counting Crows “best of” album, Films about Ghosts<\/i>, today, and it’s as wonderful as everything else they put out. It has one new song and a couple of other new recordings and I’ve already listened to it twice.
